There's nothing like starting the year off with a BANG! and our Ginger girl did just that, finishing her Championship in Brooksville with Arvind DeBraganca!  Arvind picked her up in Orlando for the huge show week mid December and in three days she won a 4 and 5 point major and one Reserve!  Then In Brooksville, she won two more 4 points majors and there you go....NEW CHAMPION!!  Ginger's owners, Kathleen Hetherman and daughter, Hailey and I could not be more proud!!  Ginger is a lovely young girl out of Tori and Charm and has certainly gotten the best of both of them!  On to coursing with her now, we hope!

Our beautiful Ella is off touring the country!  That's right! The life of a show dog!!  She is being shown and pampered by Sarah and Correy Krickberg up in the  Midwest and we hope to be adding New Champion to her name soon!  She is starting to show the judges what a beautiful representative of the breed she is and in January has a 4 point major and two singles under her belt so far.  The hardest part of this life is not having her home here with me...hopefully won't be much longer!!!

ELLA'S UPDATES!!!  3/9 - Franklin, TN  Winner's Bitch - 3pts.

To top this good friend, Elizabeth Mask, just let me know that Ella...and Bono's momma, SELENA, was just  awarded BROOD BITCH OF THE YEAR by our parent club, RRCUS!!!  We are BEYOND THRILLED, to say the least!!!  9 of Selena's puppies finished their Championships last year giving her this honor!  3 of the new champions were from Selena's first litter...Ella's litter .... sired by MBIS BISS GCH Adili's American Idol - "SPIRIT".  Then, 6 new champions were from Bono's litter, sired by MBIS GCH Raviro's Chiposi Remington Rimfire - "GUNNER".

Selena is Legend and Khaleesi's littermate and was the puppy I had planned on keeping from the litter.  Legend was supposed to go to another friend of mine here in FL, but at the last minute they couldn't take him and Liz called and told me Selena needed to come live with her...and well....she was supposed to be there!  Liz took her to heights in the show ring and on the field beyond what I could have done here!  So proud of all of their accomplishments and that of my Grandpups!!!
and here we celebrate Selena's momma...our beautiful JAMI
who is now retired and living the sweet life of a couch potato!!

To add to all the family wins, our youngster Scarlett is off and flying in the show ring herself!  On Sunday in Lakeland, she won her first points, a 3 point major!  Many thanks to Judge Patti Neale for awarding her this win and the lovely comments she made about her!  Scarlett is Khaleesi's daughter...Jami's granddaughter!, sired by Jethro and is living up to her name and family reputation for excellence!!  Great expectations for her continued success!!!

Our Skylar Rey is now rocking the show ring herself!  She's been traveling with Arvind, now that he's finished Ginger, and in Tallahassee last weekend, she won Winners 3 of the 4 days there!  So thrilled she has finally grown up enough to show herself well and is not springing around the ring like a Lipizzan stallion!  She's halfway to her Championship now and we're thrilled!!  Skylar is also a Jethro daughter, out of Libby, GCH Hope Spring's Fearless Liberty by Kengali, who is one of our grandpups owned by Annie Johnson.  Annie's girl, Mattie Ross, from the same litter is also shining in the ring!  GO, GIRLS!!!

The Duchess Does Well!!

March was a GREAT month for Team Kengali!!  On the 25th, our beautiful Hetty Lang was Winner's Bitch for a 4 point major and is now half way to earning her Champion title!  To top off the day....Bono won Best of Breed and will soon be a new Grand Champion!

Elkton in April!

We had another great weekend in Elkton this year!   On Saturday, no points but Reserve Winners for both Oberon and Scarlett...and Best of Breed for Bono!  Another major win, bringing him 1 point shy of his Grand Championship!  On Sunday, tho...under Judge Barbara Pepper, Oberon had his first win, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite sex over Bono!  Bono was Select!  Very happy with everyone's performance...they do me proud!!

Five days in Perry in April...majors for the girls every day....Team Kengali ROCKED it!!

Day 1 - Mattie Ross wins a 4 pt major!  She is owned and loved by Annie Johnson, sired by Jethro, mom Libby!  Getting really close to being a new champion!

Day 2 - Nina rocks it!  Her second major - 4 pts, as well!  Nina is Kengali's Feelin' Good at Nottingham, co-owned and loved by Mark and Cathy Driggers!  She, too, is just 3 points away from her championship!

Day 5 - Sarabi gets her turn at the North Georgia Hound Association capping off the week with a 5 point major..her first points, 2nd weekend out showing!!    Sarabi is Kengali's Boundless Spirit ....and does that name ever fit her!...and is co-owned and loved by Sheila and Robin Soltau!
Huge thanks to our handlers - Arvind DeBraganca, Christina Roberts and Patrick Mazepink
for these wonderful wins!!

May in Perry!

We had a fantastic weekend in Perry in May this year!  Sarabi showed all 5 days...was Reserve Winners 3 of the 5 days, two of them to majors and on the last day, Mother's Day, won the major herself!  So proud of this wild child!!!
Oberon was there for two of the days and won his first major and Best of Winners on Friday!  Couldnt be happier!!
A boy and his ribbons!

Very happy to announce that Tori has officially won her ROM award, too, this year!  6 champions to her name....and more on the horizon!

Our beautiful Sarabi has definitely lived up to her name - Boundless Spirit!  She is THE HAPPIEST girl and absolutely LOVES being in the show ring with her favorite handler, Arvind DeBraganca!  She lights up when she sees him and despite acting like a Lipizzan stallion doing airs above the ground, manages to light up the show ring with her beautiful movement, spirit and style!  Early in September, she headed off to Mississippi with Arvind and came home a NEW CHAMPION!!!  Her owners, Robin and Sheila Soltau, and I are beyond thrilled!!!  On to her Grand now!!!

Livernose Littermates, Oberon and Prince are running the race to see who will be a New Champion first!  After this past weekend in DeLand, they are tied - both having their two majors and 9 points towards their titles!!  Prince, who lives up in NY and is co-owned by Darryl Ramsey and his family and Jennifer Skula, is out on the show trail with his handler extraordinaire, Arvind DeBraganca.  He started his show career the end of August and as soon as he understood what he was supposed to do, starting winning with style!  In Mississippi, on September 17th, he earned his first major and was Best of Breed over Specials...NICE!!!!!   He earned his second major, 4 pts., this past Saturday in Deland and we're confident he will finish soon!

Homeboy, Oberon, has not been shown since May until this past weekend, and on Sunday it was his turn!  He earned his second major, 4 pts., and went Best of Breed over Specials, as well!

Very proud of these two boys and have great expectations for their futures!!

Also this past weekend in Deland, Bono earned his Grand Champion title on Saturday!  Beautiful Sarabi - CH Kengali's Boundless Spirit, was Best of Opposite Sex on Saturday and Select on Sunday, earning two majors towards her Grand Championship!  Yes!  It was a great weekend for us!!

Arvind and Prince!

November in Ocala!

Back to back show weekends in Ocala are here and we're in full swing for the next couple of months!

Jacksonville Dog Club shows 11/11 & 12, Oberon and Scarlett were out to strut their stuff!  Oberon showed well on Saturday and was Reserve Winners on Sunday, so no points for our loverboy this weekend.

Scarlett was Reserve Winners to a 4 pt major on Saturday and was Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over a really nice Specials on Sunday!  Unfortunately, the major broke, but HEY!  2 points!  We'll take it!!

Imagine That!!!!

Kengali's Imagine Dragons at Sedona!

Celebrating Dani's win in Perry, GA the end of November!

Orlando in December!

The second week in Orlando is always a busy one every year!  3 days of regular shows Tuesday thru Thursday, our club's Regional Specialty on Friday and the AKC National Dog show on Saturday!   Busy, busy!!!  This year, Oberon and Reine-Marie were there all five days.  HUGE competition and while neither one, they both showed well!

At our Regional Specialty on Friday, Reine-Marie won a very competitive 9-12 mos. Sweepstakes class and Bred By Exhibitor class with 5 entries.  Our judges were very complimentary of her which helped to make my day!  This was followed by my old boy, Strider, showing in Veteran Sweeps and regular Veterans!!!  First time in the show ring in almost 4 years and at 12 1/2..he still has it!!   He gave it his all and won Best of Opposite in both categories.  He LOVED all the attention....and TREATS!...he got from everyone all day!

The day was topped off, tho, by our beautiful girl, Dani, winning Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners for a 5 pt major!!  Her owner, Lisa, and I are still on Cloud 9!!  HUGE THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS to Kelly Barrera who piloted her to this win!!!  Great things ahead for this girl, for sure!!!

On Saturday we were there to watch 8 1/2 year old Naiomi win Best Veteran at the National Dog show!!!  Again...tears to my eyes as I watched her show like the Diva she is!!!  I bred her, but she's owned and loved by my dear friend, Liz Mask, from Nashville and shown by Sarah Karger Krickberg.  Such an AMAZING team they were and are!!

An absolutely BEAUTIFUL and SPECTACULAR way to end the year!!!!

Here's to MORE ADVENTURES ahead in 2018!!!!
